Jerry, Thanks for your advise.
I went to Eagle transmission and talked to David. He listened to all of my
concerns and answered each question as non-technically as possible to help me
out. He and one of his employees then discussed the situation. Sergio then took
the truck for a test drive with me in it. In less than a mile he was sure that
it was the fan clutch just as you had suggested and not a transmission problem.
Thus for about $65.00 and a little elbow grease my problem was fixed. I can not
thank you enough for providing insight into this problem and having quality
people like David and Sergio helping me. Finding a honest and reputable shop is
worth it's weight in gold. Once again Thank you for your help Joe, Irving

Its been long time that I have a real satisfied feeling to fix the automobile,
especially a Transmission problem.
Thank you for your recommendation. AllSTAR transmission in Haledon (Specially
Criss) was great guy to work with. He took rebuild my Dodge Grand caravan only
50 hours from start to Finnish. I can not have any complain and I really
recommend AllSTAR to all the other people who has transmission problem. Thank

Jerry, I just wanted to send you a note thanking you for your helpful
information on your website. I have a 1994 Lincoln Town car that was having
transmission troubles. Took it to one shop and they said it needed another
transmission. I came across your site and looked under the AODE transmissions.
Said a common problem was with one of the 3 sensors. I decided to get a second
opinion and saw Sunset Transmission as your shop of the month. I called Joe and took my car down to his shop. He found the problem to be the Neutral
Safety Switch or Manual Position Level Sensor on my car. I didn't need another
transmission!! He saved me a lot of money by his expertise in diagnosing the
problem. Thanks for your site and to Joe at Sunset Transmission.

After asking a GM. trans
specialist and my neighborhood auto repair shop to diagnosis my trans problem
on my 84 Buick Lesabre, your trouble shooting tip lead me straight to the
problem! My trans shifts perfect until it gets hot, and then the lock up
solenoid on the converter locks up causing near stalls and low shift speeds.
Now it is fixed, Thanks!
